Acoustic Guitar
This has been one of my favorite personal projects that I’ve worked on. Before I began modeling, I studied reference images and created multiple 3D meshes that formed the model. I used edge loops and beveling to create the guitar’s soft edges. The texture was definitely the most challenging part of this project. Before importing my FBX into Substance Painter, I made sure each UV map was clean for detailed texturing. It was challenging to achieve the desired realism of the guitar, especially the wood. I used several custom materials and hand-painted elements such as the rings and detailing on the neck. Although this project was challenging, it was definitely rewarding.

Fire Brazier
Building this fire brazier was a fun challenge. I used references to model the basic shape of the bowl and the column. I played with beveling on the crisp edges to create some extra detail. Then I made separate UV sets so that I could have specific texture detailing. I painted burn marks on the bowl to showcase fire damage. The type of ancient stone that I wanted to create was challenging and it took a lot of experimenting to get it to the vision that I had. It took several layers of hand-painting to achieve the final aesthetic. This asset was used for a rendered 3D environment for one of my school projects.

Quartz Crystal
For this project, I wanted to challenge myself by creating an advanced material on a simple model. I modeled a simple polygon shape in 3D and beveled the edges to add slight softness, creating a realistic crystal-like form. I created my own Smart Material and used several layers to achieve this look, including 3D linear gradients, opacity masks, hand-painted grunge details, scratch textures, and more. My goal was to create a clean, realistic quartz crystal to be used as a 3D prop. I also wanted to practice advanced material creation.

Old Chest
This chest is a prop that I created from scratch for a school project. My vision was to create a highly detailed prop that could be used in games or cinema. I modeled various versions of the box but ultimately settled on this design. Modeling it was challenging, as I discovered some double-faced geometry in part of the mesh; however, it became a valuable learning opportunity, as I was able to identify the issue and learn multiple ways to fix it. I then imported my model into Mudbox and learned how to sculpt a realistic-looking prop using layering and subdivisions, including adding wood surface details. I then applied several materials and rendered the chest in Unreal Engine.
